Oppos! I am looking into buying a 2007 G35S with 120k miles. What should I watch for when I check out the car? Seems to be priced right with plenty of maintenance history on CarFax. Only a 2 owner car. What say you?

Take it to an Infiniti dealer and have them do a pre purchase inspection. That’ll uncover any nasty issues. I do know that maintenance on G is not the cheapest thing when you have it done at the dealer.

My experience with G35s is mostly limited to riding in one and helping the owner (opponaut KusabiSensei) replace headlights. So... not extensive, though I can tell you that the headlights are a bitch and a half (pre-refresh).

Timing chain guides (noise when cold) and ball joints. Some models need to have the entire knuckle replaced as they do not sell the joint itself separately.
Other than that, just the regular wear and tear items.

Hopefully they’ve kept the car cold for when I go to drive it tonight. If not, I’ll make sure I get a cold start in there somewhere.
